World Engineers Convention Free Public Forum at MCEC

The World Engineers Convention is hosting a free public forum 'Future Melbourne – digitally connected communities' at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) on Wednesday, 20 November 2019 from 6:30-7:30pm.
Hear direct from Melbourne’s Lord Mayor Sally Capp and Victorian Chief Engineer Dr Collette Burke who will outline the plans for future Melbourne.
Italy’s Professor Carlo Ratti will also explore how digital technology is being used by other cities around the world to plan infrastructure around resident’s needs and requirements.
This is a free event, with limited tickets available. Registration is essential to secure your place.
The public forum event forms part of the wider program for the World Engineers Convention (WEC) 2019. Hosted every four years in a different location around the world, WEC is a chance for some of the top minds in engineering to meet in one place.
The program focuses on sustainable cities and climate change, innovation and disruption, and leadership and governance, while also addressing the need for a more diverse profession and the capabilities that are required for the engineers of our future.
