Uncover Melbourne program wows AIME’s Hosted Buyers

Designed to showcase Melbourne’s world-class business events capability, Uncover Melbourne offered international, local hosted buyers and hosted media a day of immersive experiences that captured Melbourne’s breath and depth, while showcasing why Melbourne is a premium destination for business events.

The Uncover Melbourne Experiences were hosted by 29 MCB partners who took part in providing memorable moments and showcasing unlimited choices for business events, relishing the opportunity to demonstrate their unique offering to exclusive buyers.

Thirteen tours took hosted buyers and media across the city and regional Victoria, with inspiring and unique experiences including; an iconic ‘Melbourne Gourmet Foodie Tour’ hosted by This is Melbourne; ‘Sunday Brunch in the Sky’ hosted by Sofitel Melbourne on Collins at No30 Restaurant; a meditation session at Novotel Melbourne on Collins; hands-on chocolate bark decorating at Metropolis Events; Australian wildlife close-up encounters at Mornington Peninsula’s Moonlit Sanctuary; a behind-the-scenes tour of the State Library of Victoria hosted by Showtime Event Group with lunch served at the rooftop of the iconic dome; and an experiential street art workshop at Grand Hyatt Melbourne, to name a few.

The day concluded with the Uncover Melbourne Hosted Buyer and Media Cocktail Party held at The Timber Yard, a brand-new venue considered an urban sanctuary built with a sustainability focus combined with unprecedented size and flexibility, making it an ideal space for business events.

Sponsored by City of Melbourne, hosted buyers and media enjoyed a remarkable night catered by Showtime Event Group, carefully styled by Harry the hirer, and with entertainment curated by Solution Entertainment, well-known in the industry for bringing creativity to life to any event. This memorable night included a mysterious entrance, lavish menu items and pop-up dance performances.
