New premium Melbourne event spaces at Marvel Stadium

Elevate Experience & Events at Marvel Stadium is renowned for delivering an unparalleled variety of over 600 private events annually, ranging from multi-day conferences and prestigious award ceremonies to high-profile product launches. The Stadium currently offers a selection of more than 20 purpose-built, distinctive event spaces.

As the Southern Hemisphere's sole stadium with a retractable roof, Marvel Stadium has made a name for itself in the realm of arena experiences, with the capability to accommodate anywhere from 7 to 70,000 guests for intimate or mega formal dinners, gala affairs and conferences, and up to 10,000 guests on the arena alone.

However, the excitement is set to soar to new heights in 2024 as Marvel Stadium prepares to launch its remarkable $225 million redevelopment project. This undertaking is set to shake the landscape of premium events and experiences, further solidifying the Stadium's status as a premier destination for all occasions.

What to expect?

The Melbourne Convention Bureau are extremely excited about Marvel Stadium's new redevelopment that will open up a world of possibilities for conference and incentive planners.

Key features of Marvel Stadium's redevelopment include the addition of two purpose-built, high-end function spaces ideal for awards nights and exclusive conferencing.

Horizon Room

The Horizon Room has been designed with versatility in mind and is the perfect space for all occasions from gala dinners, grand conferences, and cocktail parties. The floor-to-ceiling windows provide a beautiful backdrop – natural light for the day, and the city lights for the evening. Horizon offers in-built audio-visual equipment including 5m x 3m LED Wall, camera and superior speaker system making it the most functional space at Marvel Stadium for a variety of event types.

The arrival experience for guests is one to remember also, with direct access via a glass elevator into a stunning lobby and pre-function room complete with arrival desk, cloaking facilities and an impressive view of the stadium arena.

Capacity: 240 pax banquet, 190 cabaret, 350 cocktail, 240 theatre

Skyline Room

Marvel Stadium's new Skyline Room has been designed to impress, with beautiful floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the city, bespoke velvet furniture, custom gold themed roofing, shadow chandeliers across the bar, and an impressive 5m LED Screen.

Skyline also offers an exclusive menu designed by their executive-chef, served from an open kitchen, providing a 5-star restaurant experience for business events.

The arrival experience for guests is one to remember too, with direct access via a glass elevator into a stunning lobby and pre-function space, and a champagne bar overlooking the Marvel Stadium arena.

Elevated 'experience' spaces

An additional six spaces offer unique experiences only found at Marvel Stadium – large activations and festivals in Stadium Square, cocktail parties on the Stadium Rooftop overlooking the Melbourne CBD and unmatched arena views from View Bar.

The Rooftop

Perched high above the stadium, The Rooftop offers panoramic views of the Melbourne City skyline and sets the stage for epic parties and unforgettable
moments. The Rooftop is conveniently located on the city-edge, 3-minute walk from Southern Cross Train Station and is accessed directly via a glass elevator.

This spectacular event space has two in-built bars, bespoke themed food and beverage options, views of both the arena and city and is ready to be transformed by your imagination!

Stadium Square

Marvel's world-class redevelopment has transformed the stadium’s main entry into Stadium Square – a state of-the-art precinct that is equal parts gateway to
excitement and vibrant entertainment hub. Sheltered from the elements in the undercover oasis, your event will impress within the architecturally
designed two-level hub, under the glow of the impressive Super Screen. With its contemporary design, featuring timber, soft plantings and generous natural light, Stadium Square is the perfect space to host larger scale bespoke events within unmatched proximity to the Melbourne CBD. With the ability to activate this exciting space with food trucks, large scale interactive displays and branding opportunities, your imagination is the only limitation.

The View Bar

The all-new View Bar combines an unrivalled outlook with premium food and beverage offerings in a relaxed setting, perfect for your next cocktail event or product launch. Situated on Level 2 at the Southern End of the Stadium, this unmatched location will offer spectacular views across the Marvel Stadium playing field and can be accessed via their new Stadium Square arrival entry. View Bar’s sleek and modern design provides a contemporary atmosphere with a versatile floorplan and premium Audio Visual facilities to accommodate a wide range of different requirements.
