  • New 70s inspired karaoke venue opens in Melbourne

    September 07, 2019

A 70’s-themed karaoke room and bar has opened its doors at Crown Metropol Precinct.

Juke’s Karaoke Bar teleports guests back to the era of “big hair, don’t care”, with a psychedelic colour palette, colourful glass, mirrors, tiles and lighting creating the ultimate disco vibe.

The venue offers 10 private karaoke rooms of various sizes, each with a different colour scheme, in addition to a prop box, including items such as tambourines, maracas and feather boas.

The cocktail list includes timeless classics with a twist while the food menu is inspired by 70’s kitsch faves such as Chikohhh Yeah – a classic Chiko Roll served in a shopping trolley; Rings on Wings – a tower of golden onion rings with tomato sauce and spicy mayo; Cheesy Does It fondue – gooey cheese, baguette, kabana, broccoli, cauliflower, cornichons, corn chips; or The Prawn Star ‘cocktail’ – coconut prawns, shaved lettuce, mary rose sauce, chill, lemon, crushed avo and radish.

“We’ve dabbled in karaoke at some of our other venues, so we thought, why not open a dedicated venue?” said Funlab CEO Michael Schreiber.
