Melbourne welcomes Chinese incentive agents ahead of Dreamtime 2019

Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) in conjunction with Tourism Australia has welcomed 9 Chinese incentive agents and 2 media representatives to Melbourne for a familiarisation tour as part of Dreamtime 2019.
The exited hosted buyers were greeted at Melbourne Airport on Thursday morning ahead of an inspiring three days discovering the both Melbourne’s city centre and regional Victoria.
After checking into Crown Metropol, the incentive agents were treated to a leisurely lunch at Crown Conservatory.
Following lunch, the group took a thrilling Harley Tour over the West Gate Bridge to Williamstown where they cruised along the beach front road towards Port Melbourne where they stopped for a group photo at Gem Pier.
The pace slowed down after the motorbike tour for a refined afternoon high tea at The Langham Melbourne along with a creative millinery workshop.
A formal welcome dinner was organised for the special guests at the State Library of Victoria by Showtime Event Group. After touring through the Redmond Barry Reading Room, Cowen Gallery and the La Trobe Reading Room, a surprise dining experience was revealed on a balcony located on Level 6, where guests could take in the beautiful surrounding architecture and soak up the building’s history.
The group received an official welcome to the dinner from Councillor Philip Le Liu, chairs the International Engagement portfolio; MCB’s Beverley Williamson General Manager, Business Development & Bids; with Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre’s Dawn Stewart, Account Manager - Associations & Exhibitions joining the dinner. The evening of day one finished on a high, with dessert served sky-high on the library’s spectacular dome roof.
