    Melbourne has been announced as the second most livable city in the world.

    The Economist Intelligence Unit's Global Liveability Report was released, listing Melbourne as the second best livable city in the world, for a second year running.

    The survey assess cities around the world based on best or worst living conditions to provide a rating across education, healthcare, stability, culture and environment and infrastructure.

    Melbourne received a full score of 100 for education, infrastructure and healthcare. Culture and environment received 98.6, stability received a score of 95.

    Melbourne is a vibrant, multicultural city and is welcoming for everyone. Always bursting with art, culture, sport and infrastructure, and boasts a calendar of year-round events, festivals and shows. Melbourne is a renowned for shopping and labyrinth of laneways, alongside being a foodie destination with hatted restaurants, buzzing bars and cafes. Melbourne is also a knowledge capital with leading research institutes and universities.

    Vienna, Austria was announced as the best city in the world to live.
