Prof. Hugh Taylor, current president of the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) is an expert and pioneer in eye health. He has devoted over 40 years to ophthalmic research and teaching, aiming to improve lives through the design and delivery of community eye health care programs. 

Prof. Taylor has supported MCB in numerous bids, including the recently won ‘World Ophthalmology Congress 2022’ (WOC 2022), expected to be the largest conference ever secured for Victoria.

Prof. Taylor is part of the Club Melbourne Ambassador Program and one of Melbourne’s great minds. His world-leading research contributes to Melbourne’s reputation as a knowledge capital and innovation hub.
