MCB secures new conferences to attract thousands to Victoria

The Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) has secured three international conferences which will deliver 4,000 delegates to Melbourne translating to over $23million in economic contribution.
The 2022 annual meeting of the Asia Oceania Geosciences Society will provide an opportunity for Australia’s diverse geoscience community to connect with experts in the field.
Geoscience study is a key component in the research of new solutions to climate change issues and over 2,500 delegates from 50 countries will convene at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) for a six-day conference in 2022.Melbourne has also been selected to host the Harm Reduction International Conference in 2021, which further cements Melbourne as a premier business events destination. This meeting will be held across four days in May next year and anticipates attracting over 1,000 delegates.
The 2022 Asian Racing Conference will also be hosted in Melbourne, bringing over 600 delegates from the racing industry to connect. Find out more about this conference here.
