The Melbourne Football Club participates in Australia’s most popular sport and entertainment property – the Australian Football League. As the founding club of the AFL (1858), our club is part of the fabric of Melbourne and calls Australia’s most iconic ground, the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) home.
Through the geographical location of our home base and our close relationship with the MCC, we can offer visitors from all around the globe a unique experience/insight into the game of AFL and the history – Exploring Australia’s Game.
Join Melbourne at its sporting heart, the MCG, for an interactive and educational insight into Australia’s revered sporting culture.
Step behind the scenes of the iconic sporting stadium, get hands on with AFL action and explore the history of a sporting nation.
Groups will embark on a private tour of the MCG, led by a dedicated MCC guide who will bring the stories and secrets of the ground to life.
From the exclusive members areas and hallowed turf – to the hidden terraces offering unbeatable views of the city skyline and Australian Open precinct, discover the otherwise off-limits areas of the ‘G.
Visitors will have the opportunity to learn the rules of Australia’s game and have fun kicking, handballing and building their sporting skills in an interactive football clinic. Hosted by the Melbourne Football Club inside the MCG change rooms – it is as close to the AFL experience as you can get!
