CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park is a new dedicated event centre in the heart of the Melbourne & Olympic Parks sporting and entertainment precinct. Quintessentially Melbourne, with sweeping views of the Melbourne city skyline, CENTREPIECE is surrounded by open green spaces, Australian gum trees and championship tennis courts which are part of the precincts rich sporting history.
A dynamic and flexible venue, CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park offers you a complete conference centre at the home of the Australian Open tennis grand slam. Inviting the outside in, the venue is flooded in natural light via the expansive windows and atrium skylight. Made up of 3 levels; CENTREPIECE is the complete one stop shop for your event.
Level one, adjacent to Garden Square is a public café and restaurant. This space is available to be hired exclusively for events or is the perfect addition for social events hosted in conjunction with your conference. A state-of-the-art production kitchen located on level one will be delivered with the latest technology to support the culinary teams’ Paddock to Plate philosophy and focus on sustainability.
Level two, adjacent to Rod Laver Arena and the new Tennis Show Court, is The Grand Hall and Pre-Function space. The Grand Hall is a versatile space that is complemented by an outdoor terrace with uninterrupted views of the Melbourne CBD, connecting you to the gardens outside. This 2,000 sqm space is divisible by 3, equally in half and more, encouraging flexibility and is perfect for conferences from 200 to 1000 guests, a gala dinner of 1400 guests or a cocktail party for 3,000 guests.
CENTREPIECE is connected to a large outdoor piazza that can be used for activations and displays or for a VIP red carpet arrival into the venue. The venue is also connected to Tennis HQ, which boasts more than 1,000sqm of break out spaces with an exclusive dedicated café for your event guests.
On level three you will find breakout rooms that can be used in conjunction with your event in The Grand Hall or alternatively for your smaller conferences. Designed for the international media for the Australian Open, there are 10 studios that can seat between 10-100 guests, an auditorium for 250 guests and additional 5 meeting rooms. Like level two, this level connects into Tennis HQ’s level three boardrooms. Three outdoor terraces with spectacular views of the city skyline complete this spectacular venue.
CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park has been designed with events in mind. Our philosophy is simple, to be Melbourne’s most eventful and marvellous place. Melbourne is a melting pot of the arts, cultures, cuisines and internationally recognised events, all of which will influence the menu and food experience. Expect to see some local craft beers, Victorian wines, small batch spirits and exceptional coffee that Melbourne is famous for.

CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park is currently under construction with a finish date of mid 2021. The team are now taking bookings for events in September 2021 and beyond.

The Grand Hall boasts 8.5m high ceilings, sweeping views of the Melbourne CBD and floor to ceiling windows that bath the venue in Natural light. With a 800sq2m pre-function and lobby area, an outdoor terrace overlooking garden square and vehicle access, this venue is perfect for any type of event. Spanning over 3 levels, level 3 consists of a 250 seat auditorium, 15 additional break out rooms and another outdoor terrace. Every room has natural light and incredible views of Melbourne, Richmond and beyond. Connected to Tennis HQ which offers an additional 2 levels of breakout space, CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park is not only flexible but extremely functional. Built with your events in mind, access in and out of the venue is a breeze and the culinary experience will leave your guests with lasting memories.
