Set over two spectacular, heritage-featured floors in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, The Alfred is home to the classic New York-inspired restaurant, The Cut Steakhouse, and the first Melbourne branch of the premium Italian eatery, Fratelli Fresh.
The ground floor features an alfresco lane way dining façade at 7 Alfred Place, a state of the art onsite dry-ageing room, and speakeasy-style bar. The dramatic staircase leads to The Cut Steakhouse’s classic space and adjoining bar, The Library, a Ralph-Lauren-meets-Hemingway, hunting lodge inspired lounge.
Paying homage to the traditional American steakhouse, the dry ageing room houses Culinary Director, Martin Hierling’s hand-picked selection of locally-sourced, dry-aged meats ranging from 28 days to 180 days to give all of our dishes unique rich flavours.
On the ground floor of The Alfred, Fratelli Fresh serves fresh simple authentic Italian dishes, gourmet woodfire pizzas and a hand-selection of fine wines.
