ICM is a premier quadrennial international conference. RMIT University is proud to facilitate the organisation of the thirteenth edition of ICM. The theme of ICM-13 is “Advanced Materials, Manufacturing, Design and Optimisation”.
The conference aims to provide an international forum for researchers, academics, industry practitioners, and engineers to promote, exchange and disseminate recent findings on contemporary and wide-ranging topics in Mechanics of Materials.
The genesis of the ICM series dates back to 1971. The organising body ‘International Congress on Mechanical Behaviour of Materials (ICM)’ was formed in 1971 when the first ICM was organised in Kyoto, Japan. Since then the ICM conference series has been regularly organised at major locations around the world in every four years.
ICM-13 topics will address many grand challenges in modern engineering, from nano- to macro-mechanics of materials including metals, composites, ceramics, computational mechanics, dynamics, material processing, manufacturing, optimisation, and biomechanics. The full papers will be peer-reviewed and published in a proceeding and selected ones will be considered for journal special issues.
