Fifteen million people suffer from stroke worldwide each year. In the Asian region alone, nine million people suffer from stroke. The burden of stroke presents as a massive challenge not only in the Asian region, but on a global scale. The conference is a 4-day program with plenary sessions, workshops and scientific abstract presentations pertaining to cutting edge research related to the wide range of manifestations and effects of stroke, including prevention, acute treatment, rehabilitation, recovery/resettlement, systems of care and basic sciences.
