The itinerary for day three of the Melbourne familiarisation tour for Chinese incentive agents and media representatives as part of Dreamtime 2019 was created by Localing Private Experiences.
After a hearty breakfast on Saturday at Crown Metropol, the guests were whisked away in a private bus to discover Melbourne’s coffee, food and street art.
A scenic drive uncovered the old bayside town of South Melbourne, local markets and beautiful tree-lined streets. Then it was time to get ‘caffeinated’ with a tasting at St Ali, one of the city’s finest coffee roasters.
Then it was off to experience some of Melbourne’s rich living history at the Queen Victoria Market. The group was taken on an Ultimate Foodie Tour, led by a local Market guide, to discover the very best local produce, learn the market’s history and uncover the specialty foods to buy.
With appetites officially whet, it was time for a gourmet lunch at an iconic Melbourne restaurant popular with local foodies.
After lunch it was time to get the creative juices flowing with an exclusive tour at Everfresh Studio in Collingwood to learn firsthand about the history and culture of graffiti. Professional artists led the group through preparing their individual stencil before heading out to a laneway to leave their personal mark on Melbourne.
The inspiring three-day familiarisation event concluded at Marvel Stadium to experience the AUS-X Open. On arrival the group were guided on a walk around the track then had an exclusive photo opportunity with the athletes and their bikes.
Positioned from the Corporate SuperLounge, they had the most coveted seats in the house to watch the world’s best in heart-stopping Supercross & Freestyle Motocross.
The group also had the opportunity to meet with popular riders Chad Reed and Ricky Carmichael, while enjoying a deluxe buffet dinner and drinks, with their dedicated SuperLounge host attentively caring to their needs throughout the evening.
