Joining the Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) in 2009, Victoria Pope is responsible for ensuring international business event organisers are supported from bid win to delivery of their global events at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).
As Director Convention Services, Victoria connects organisers of international business events with suppliers, destination marketing, visitor services, State Government of Victoria and City of Melbourne.
Victoria’s key role is to enable a seamless and memorable delegate and organiser experience of Melbourne, Victoria and Australia.
Highlights of her time at MCB so far include the World Diabetes Congress 2013 (10,000 delegates), International AIDS Conference 2014 (12,000 delegates), International Congress of Immunology 2016 (4,000 delegates), Intelligent Transport Systems World Congress 2016 (8,500 delegates) and the International Dragon Awards Meeting 2017 (5,500 delegates).
Prior to joining MCB, Victoria spent 14 years in the film and television industry in Australia and Ireland.
