Beverley Williamson is the General Manager Sales at Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) and Vice Chair and Board Director of Meetings and Events Australia (MEA). Beverley also represents MEA as a Director on the Business Events Council of Australia (BECA) Board.
Since Beverley joined MCB in 2007 she has held the positions of Senior Bid Manager; Associate Director, Convention Sales; Director Bids and PCO Partnerships; and is now General Manager Sales. Her current role oversees the sales strategy relating to international and national event procurement as well as management of MCB’s overseas offices and event servicing team.
She has a vast skill-set, encompassing but not limited to, strategic planning, leadership, event management, lobbying, unique bidding strategies and presentation concept and delivery.
Before joining MCB, Beverley held positions with Freehills (Melbourne) as Event Manager; Fox Events (Melbourne) as Director of Events; and Martlet Conferences and Exhibitions (United Kingdom) as Event Manager.
Beverley holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Tourism Management from the University of Brighton, United Kingdom.
