The Victorian Government’s Regional Business Events Grant Program is designed to give a helping hand to national business event organisers and international incentive event organisers to hold their events in Victoria.

With a focus on association conferences, trade exhibitions, corporate meetings, and seminars, as well as international incentive groups, funding is available to offset actual costs for hosting business events in Victoria.

Grants can be put towards accommodation, venue hire, transport and other event costs, such as marketing and promotion.There are two funding streams available – for international incentive events to be held in regional Victoria and for association events and corporate meetings to be held in regional Victoria.

 

Stream 1: International Incentive Events Program

The International Incentive Events Program offers funding to host new international incentive events in Victoria that incorporate overnight stays in regional Victoria.  

To be eligible:

  1. The incentive must have between 10–149 delegates.
  2. All delegates must be from outside Australia (international delegates).
  3. The incentive must spend one night of the incentive program in Regional Victoria.
  4. The incentive must take place between 1 January 2025 and 31 March 2026.

Stream 2: National Business Events Program

The National Business Events Program offers funding to eligible event organisers to host new business events in regional Victoria. Grants of up to $80 per delegate (up to a maximum of $40,000) are available.  

To be eligible:

  1. The event must be a business to business (B2B) event.
  2. The full event must take place in regional Victoria.
  3. The event must represent new business for regional Victoria that is not yet confirmed, contracted or advertised for regional Victoria.
  4. The event must be attended by at least 25 in-person delegates per day.
  5. The event must have a minimum two-day business event program, with at least one-night stay.
  6. The event must generate a minimum of 20 room nights, or at least 40 per cent of total delegates requiring the use of local accommodation, whichever is the greater.
  7. Event dates must occur after 1 January 2025 and before 31 March 2026.
