Meet in Melbourne Issue 5

Karen Bolinger

Melburnians love their city and are proud when Melbourne is recognised globally for being such a great destination to live, work and meet. Recently, Melbourne was named the best city in the world to live in for the fourth year running, topping the Economist Intelligence Unit's (EIU) Global Liveability Index. Then in August, Conde Nast Traveler magazine awarded Melbourne as the world's friendliest city and Australia's "capital of cool".

Melbourne continues to have so much to offer its business visitors and there has never been a better time to let your colleagues and delegates discover Melbourne and experience it for themselves. The Spring Racing Carnival is on until 23 November, so soak up the buzz on and off the track and join glamorous punters and champion thoroughbreds as they descend on Melbourne.

Have you been charged with organising your end of year meeting or celebration? With only 11 Fridays until the official December holidays, now is the time to take advantage of our free event and meeting booking service and let us help you plan a memorable event.

For those of you who want a comprehensive guide to Melbourne's accommodation, venues and business services suppliers, the 2015 Melbourne Planners' Guide will be launched in February, email us if you'd like to pre-order your hard copy so you don't miss out.
