Museum Victoria aims to take visitors on a journey of discovery to a new world of knowledge and perspective, providing visitor access, activities and events at four distinct venues; Melbourne Museum, Immigration Museum, Scienceworks and the Royal Exhibition Building.
Melbourne Museum explores life in Victoria. Located in Carlton Gardens, a visit to Melbourne Museum offers rich and often surprising insights into life in Victoria. Highlights include a complete skeleton of a blue whale, the Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre, a living rainforest, the racehorse Phar Lap and an IMAX theatre on site.
The Immigration Museum explores the stories of real people from all over the world who have migrated to Victoria. Located in the Old Customs House in the heart of the city, the museum re-creates the real-life stories of coming to Australia with a rich mix of moving images, memories and memorabilia.
Scienceworks makes learning about science and technology a fun, interactive adventure. Scienceworks is located in Spotswood, five kilometres from the Melbourne's central business district.
The Royal Exhibition Building is one of the world's oldest remaining exhibition pavilions. Today, with its meticulously restored interior, expansive galleries and soaring dome, the Great Hall offers an impressive setting for trade shows, fairs and cultural and community events.
Make your event one to remember at a venue with a difference.
