The International Union of Phlebology has members in 35 countries from Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia and Oceania. As a multi-national organisation, it strives to strengthen communication between societies and associations which have a special interest in the study and therapy of venous (vein) disorders.
UIP conferences, which are held every four years, represent the most important scientific event for phlebology (vein disorders) internationally. They bring together world experts to address the full spectrum of topics in the field of phlebology and provide the most up-to-date scientific information available.
The 2017 UIP World Meeting in Melbourne will achieve the highest scientific, educational, and organisational standards and enable Australia's research capabilities in phlebology to be recognised on an international scale. The meeting will attract approximately 1200 medical and health professionals, encouraging local health care professionals to engage, network and share research and ideas with great minds from around the world.
